New Product: Accent’s MAX FG Fiberglass Breakdown SUP Paddle

Now available! The new MAX FG breakdown fiberglass SUP paddle from Accent Paddles. At 34 ozs and a 3-piece breakdown construction, it’s one of the most portable and lightest SUP paddles on the market – with an affordable price of $129.

The MAX FG is the second in a series of new breakdown SUP paddles from Accent, which are manufactured in the US. The first to be introduced was the MAX SUP, a lightweight, stiff and portable carbon SUP paddle sporting a $189 price tag.

Designed to accommodate a wide range of paddler heights, expertise and water conditions, the MAX FG can be quickly adjusted from 74 to 82 inches. The MAX FG design features a pushpin/hole system, allowing the paddle to be quickly lengthened or shortened in two inch increments.

The fiberglass-reinforced nylon blade has an eight degree bend with a slight curve, allowing for an aggressive “catch” at the beginning of the stroke. The dihedral blade design of the MAX FG provides an easy “pull” through the water, while the light weight flex offers an easy exit from the water.

The ergonomic grip keeps the blade oriented during each stroke, while the fiberglass shaft has a warmer feel and stands up better to salt water usage than aluminum. And with the longest shaft length of 34 inches, it’s highly portable – great for inflatable SUPs.
